    DOL - minimum wage vs. meals and lodging fringe benefit

    It appears that requiring and providing meals and lodging as a tax-free fringe benefit may conflict witht he ability to factor that value into whether the employee is being paid a minimum wage. In that case the employee must agree to voluntarily be compensated in that manner.

    Anybody ever run up against this issue?

    In this situation you would probably want to check and double check that everyone has valid SSN to work in the US too right?
