Certainly not an urgent tax season question, but is there anyone not sending out the above letter with their prepared income tax returns? More of an FTC thing, than IRS. Just wondering.

Not with the return
We have a stack of our privacy policy on the front counter and offer them when clients first come into the office. Actually, I think you are supposed to give them before your prepare the return. They are also included with our annual letter.Comment

Privacy Notice
I have the statement regarding this in my annual letter, every year!
And my engagement letter has the basics in a paragraph that the client signs.
And I put my version on an orange sheet of paper in from of the taxpayer copy of the return.

with friends whose returns I also do. Usualy I'll say something like "I have to give you this
notice once a year, but I'm sure you know that I won't talk about you when you're gone.!"
