IRS Plans to Survey Tax Preparers
Beginning in mid-December and running through February 2008, SB/SE will conduct its annual survey of tax professionals. This phone survey (voluntary, of course) is designed to gather the opinions of tax professionals on their experiences with filing federal tax returns and dealing with the IRS on behalf of their clients. Up to 9,000 randomly selected tax professionals may be contacted by the survey contractor, Pacific Market Research (PMR), to participate in the survey.
Those selected will receive a pre-survey letter from PMR and SB/SE Commissioner Kathy Petronchak providing further details and a contact point to answer any questions, followed by a telephone call from PMR to complete the actual survey. SB/SE plans to use the opinions and experiences collected in the survey to improve its services. NAEA has been asked to let the membership know that SB/SE would appreciate your cooperation and willingness to participate in the study.
I wish Congress would do a survey on itself.
