I KNEW you could do it and very happy for you.

Now then, as "they" say, you have "bragging rights"!

Thanks everyone Just one more part. I don't think it will be as hard as the others. Well atleast in studying. It is only 7 chapters. I am going in Feb. to take it. I am taking a break for awhile. I need to get my office organized next week for the tax season. Hard Drive on the computer is full since I went to paperless office and I went today to get a 320 gig one. It is always a long process installing all your programs again.

On Part 2 I actually spent less time on it than I did on Part 1. Part 2 took me 1 hour and 45 minutes. Part 1 took me about 2 1/2 hours if I remember correctly. I was surprised to see that alot of the questions had less to do with calculations for example figuring retained earnings, basis etc. Although there were some of those questions most were on accounting methods, like kind exchange, specific forms, etc. I would say it was more general business type questions. There was probably 20 questions that dealt with partnerships, corporations, and s-corporations specifically. To my surprise there was no questions on Business Credits like the Work Opportunity Credit. I was very sure there would be questions on this because there was alot of questions dealing with credits on Part 1. Also there was no estimated tax, amt, or filing date questions.

Overall I think the exam covered what a tax preparer should know in preparing business taxes. On my Glem CD there was over 1200 questions they could pick the 100 from. In my mind I just thought there would be more questions on corporations and partnerships than there was. Let me also add that unlike Part 1 were there was several questions on the exam that was on the Gleim CD, there was none on Part 2. I am pretty sure I would have recognized some. Maybe they had been reworded but I don't believe there was any on this exam.

I am just so happy I passed. Maybe I knew more than I thought I just felt like I drew a blank on some of them. But I just went with my gut. I had studied so much my parents and a friend told me they knew I would pass... well I wasn't sure. They also told me they were glad it was about over

Part 3 here I come! Merry Christmas everyone!

            New Hard Drive

"It is always a long process installing all your programs again."

Have you considered just copying everything from the old hard drive to the new one? There are programs you can use to do it. I use one called "Copy Commander" that I have had for a few years now and it does a great job.

Yeah I had thought of that. But I need to do a new install of Windows XP. I deleted some system files trying to make my computer faster. I started having problems after that with the computer restarting itself and freezing up. I've had it for about 2 years or longer. So it is time for a fresh install. I'll just put my main hard drive I have now as a secondary in my computer. I will be able to run some programs off of it.

Test 3 Will Have To Wait

I just tried the last few days to study and it is impossible. I am having trouble sleeping and migraine headaches. I believe I am just doing to much. By the time Febuarary rolls around I will be working overtime with the tax returns (as I am sure everyone will). I am up to my eyeballs now in payroll.

So I am going to wait until May/June 08 to take Test 3 on Ethics. I think I need to give my brain a little more rest

if it's just "ethics", how hard can that be? not like having to remember tax law and figuring.

                  go for it!
