That is one thing I mentioned to the rep at Gleim. I have not experience with Estates, trusts, and IRAs always give me a headache. The rep said that their study material was designed so that someone who had never prepared taxes could pass the course. Maybe so but I'm sure it helps to have a few years experience under your belt. I do individuals and S-Corporations. I've got access now to the online portion of Gleim. Going to start reviewing it and see how it is.

Oh and the rep also said they give you 4 hours to complete each part. From what I have heard it doesn't appear to take that long. But good to know I will have the time.

I bought Gleim too and they have good material. I tried to "wing it" in '04 (studied three weeks): passed Individuals and Ethics, near-miss on Partnerships, failed miserably on Estates, Trusts, etc. Laid into the books again most of the summer of '05 and passed.

I think my four-part '05 exam was the last one before IRS cut it (three parts now?), so I don't know how long yours will take -- ours were three hours each (9-12/1:30-4:30). I also had zero experience with estates and trusts, but got enough out of the Gleim book to pass that part. Also looked over the previous year's EA test.

It's just like school -- cram for the exam, but the most important thing is to give yourself plenty of time to do it in. From reading your good posts here, I'm positive you can do it alright.

      Little nervous.
Who isn't/wasn't? You'll have lots of company because almost every soul in the room looked like they wished they were in Margaritaville.
