    The Tax Book

I switched from Quickfinder to The Tax Book two years ago, and I like the fact that I can go to one book for much of the information I am looking for. Kudos to the authors of The Tax Book!!!!

      TTB clearly better`

I use both and find TTB clearly better. The indexing is better, both in the back and at the beginning of each section. To me indexing is so important becasue if the answer to your question is in the book, but you can't find it..........well the book is only as good as the index. The new CCH 1040 Express (a new competitor) I also used. I would rate this 3ed behind TTB and QF. It gave me the impression they thew it together fast becasue the traditionl CCH research tools are loosing market share to these quick reference guides. I do feel though all these books should do more work on the index in the back, making more throughow(sp).
