    If you need a super-fast workhorse, this is the printer for you. Cost is about $900, and it spits out 45 pages per minute.

      Try Brother laser printer HL-5140. pretty compact and affordable too when it's on sales.

        I bought two HP-1012s (small desktop models) for $200 each about three years ago and they've done very well. They're compact, take up a minimum of space, and OEM cartridges are sixty bucks at Sam's Club.

        I've also found Canon to be good quality hardware.

          Anyone have any recommendations on laser printers. I have one that is ready to "die" and the backup one has a problem. You would think two of them would be enough!

          I have always liked the HP's but they aren't lasting like they use to.
