2005 941

Client failed to file Q4 2005 941. When looking on IRS.gov I can't find a 2005 941. Can I just use the 2006 form and and cross out 2006 and make it say 2005?

Anyone have a link to the 2005 form?

Got to IRS.gov - forms & publications and there is a area to go to prior year forms all the way back to 1992.

Or you can go to

Google and type in 2005 form 941. This will bring you right to it.

I did try the prior year forms, but it brings up the 941 as modified on 011006, the 2006 form.

Yeah, you can do that.

Can I just use the 2006 form and and cross out 2006 and make it say 2005?

They'll process it. It's no problem. I've done it several times and it went through okay.
