This is hardly news. It's been going on for years. It's a global market, so get used to it. Look at Ford for an example.

Buying a car made in a different country is quit different than having your personal data shipped over to India for tax preparation. Especially since the taxpayers having their data shipped over seas are not aware it is happening.

U.S. Federal laws concerning privacy and confidentiality have no jurisdiction in India.

Interesting article, but its two years old, I doubt if they are outsourcing that many returns now.
