    Taxpayer, a U.S. Citizen, is a permanent resident of the UK. Taxpayer receives Social Security payments form the U.S. Are the Social Security payments subject to U.S. Federal taxes?

    Absolutely. But that depends on what OTHER taxable and HOW MUCH other taxable income there is.

      In general, US citizens pay taxes on worldwide income.

        Be sure and check the U.S. U.K. Tax Treaty at IRS.gov for proper treatment in both countries.
