Let's see, I wonder if the IRS has instructions that discuss this.
One of the following statements must be true.
• You were self-employed and had a net profit for the year reported on Schedule C or F.
• You were a partner with net earnings from self-employment.
• You used one of the optional methods to figure your net earnings from self-employment on Schedule SE.
• You received wages in 2021 from an S corporation in which you were a more-than-2% shareholder. Health in-surance premiums paid or reimbursed by the S corporation are shown as wages on Form W-2.Last edited by Rapid Robert; 03-13-2023, 08:19 AM.

If a taxpayer has substantial rental income (such as classified as a business for QBI), can he deduct self-employed health insurance as an adjustment??Tags: None
