          free.grisoft.com

AVG free version is at http://free.grisoft.com try it I believe it works better than McAfee's and Norton's , also Norton and Mcafee are the ones (so far) that the virus writer target to take out first, also NORTON AND MCAFEE SLOW your computer down, very system resource hog! (Ithough I haven't played much with newest version)

AVG, Zona Alarm, Spyware Blaster, WinPatrol, Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Microsoft Defender, Ewido

wwww.download.com has Zone Alarm (non-pro is free) AdAware and spybot Search And Destroy and I think the rest also!

I didn't like the Microsoft Virus/spyware program it was only a beta version , slowed system down also <argh>

CWSHREDDER is another one I like but hard to find (will need to find link) it goes after a line of spyware browser hackers known as Cool Web Search (dozens so far, but I don't think anything new released but old still out there)

          Hope this helps

REMEMBER TO RUN THE UPDATES AND PROGRAMS REGULARLY!!!!! Thankfully the virus scanner runs always!!!!!!!! and you can leave Windows XP Firewall on and still run Zone ALARM (which catches more)
