I love my adding machines. At this time of year, half the time I can't remember what the number is by the time I turn around to put it in the return. I can also double check and make sure I didn't make a numerical typo since I have a tape. And unlike an online calculator, my curser doesn't move off the tax program while I'm adding. I'm just used to number +, number -. I can touch 10key much faster than use a calculator.
Now typewriter? No thanks!

Adobe Acrobat Pro Ver 8
Originally posted by taxxcpa View PostA few clients send JPEG copies of documents which are almost unreadable, so I have to convert them to PDF files. I have been tempted to update my Adobe Acrobat Pro ver 8 to the latest version but as of now, my ver 8 does nearly everthing I need it to do.

About those antiques

And should I tell the tale of when I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I bought a 4-function w/memory TI calculator (red LEDs, nice "clicky" keys) for somewhere around $100? It was one of very few in the green box place at the time (yeah, multiplications were a bit awkward on an "adding machine"), and it went home with me every night.
