It's a little getting used to, but I like it. As a matter of fact, the format is similar to many forums on the net, a few of which I belong to in other industries.

So far the new layout seems fine to me...The display on my iPhone is very good as well - for me the bold colors make it a little easier to navigate...

Suits me. The display on my TRS-80 is also very good. Now if I could just have color...

Black Bart - I assume you know you can now discard that pesky cassette tape recorder and buy you some more modern 5 1/4" floppy disks instead.

If you click on the "Notifications" tab in the upper right it will give you the options for your PM inbox.

The new look is good for me. As far as gettng back to the main page, I just hit my back button.

If you click on the "Forum" tab in the upper left it will take you back to the main page.

Thanx for the tip, F.E., but I already scouted around and found some better ones -- they're bigger (8 inches). The flea market guy guaranteed 'em to be the latest thing.

Anyhow, if they don't turn this Radio Shack prototype into a TurboSpazzer 8, then I'm gonna do like KP said (get me a Thyroid machine and run to another forum).

Even though the icons suggest read threads and unread threads, all the threads are listed as unread. Yes, even after I've read them again and exited and signed in again and even used the Mark Forum as Read button.

And, when in a thread, there's not indication of which response(s) are new or unread.

I am liking most all of the New Format - however still having an issue as Lion posted above.

I am not seeing which post has been read/unread - Is there a "toggle" for this or still a work in progress.

I've found a work-around that I don't want to follow when tax season comes around. When starting from the Main Forum/Tax Discussion page, I can click on the little circle to go to the first unread post in a thread. However, this means returning to the Main Forum page each time to choose a new thread. I'd been used to clicking on Previous at the bottom of the thread I'm reading to get to the next one and seeing the color coding on the individual posts to know what wasn't read. Now all the posts have the same colors. And, I'm not sure that my work-around takes me to ALL unread posts in a thread or just one, as the board isn't busy now (or I'm just getting one post with my work-around).

I did read the explanatory info but really need a more thorough tutorial on how to navigate this new board format most efficiently.
