Fraudulent Emails Target Tax Professionals

This is simpler:
Scammers are continuing to target tax professionals (remember it from before?). This morning, I received three of these rather authentic warnings ostensibly from the AICPA: The text (in case you can't make it out) says: Cancellation of Public Account Status due to income tax fraud allegations Valued accountant officer, We have received a [...]
Of course, the fact that I received an email regarding an account from an organization with which I have no business association might be a potential red flag.

I'm thinking anyone who would be taken in by this sort of email probably shouldn't be preparing taxes in the first place.
