I wish I had a nickel for everytime a client stopped while signing Form 8879 to ask what middle initial I had. Well, let's see, the same one I've had for 100 years now. Take a gander at your return one of these days when you have time. Just sign however the mood strikes you, or with your actual middle initial, and get outta here.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".Comment

Middle Names
Some people do have two middle names such as George Herbert Walker Bush (President before Clinton) and Carl Ferdinand Howard Henry (Christian Theologian and founding editor of Christianity Today). I've never had such a client but I wonder whether it is important to use the same middle initial every filing season?Comment
