    The End is Near

Ole is the Pastor of the local Norwegian Lutheran Church and Pastor Sven is
the minister of the Swedish Covenant Church across the road.

One day they are seen pounding a sign into the ground, which said:

    DA END ISS NEAR!
    TURN YERSELF AROUNT NOW
    BAFOR IT ISS TOO LATE!

As a car speeds past them, the driver leans out his window and yells, "Leave
people alone, you Skandihoovian religious nuts!"

From the curve they heard screeching tires and a big splash.

Shakin' his head, Rev. Ole says "Dat's da terd one dis mornin'."

"Yaa," Pastor Sven agrees, then asks, "Do ya tink maybe da sign should yust
    say, 'Bridge Out?'"

I've seen this one before and crack up everytime I see "Skandihoovian religious nuts". So funny! My Grandmother was Norwegian and I just love this tale.

              Minnesota's worst air disaster

Minnesota's worst air disaster occurred today when a Cessna 152, a small 2 seater plane, crashed into a NorwegianLutheranChurch cemetery here early this morning. Ole and Sven, working as a search and rescue team, have recovered 826 bodies so far and expect the number to climb as digging continues into the evening.

Of course, the victims are in bad shape, but Ole and Sven press on, knowing that these people have families who will be thrilled to see them.

I'm certain that Ole and Sven will leave no stone unturned in their search.

Should we be joking about such a grave situation?
