Good Evening Everyone!
I just thought I would pass along some information before someone else wastes an entire day (like me!) on trying to download the latest Quickbooks Payroll Updates.
I attempted to download the updates yesterday and received the following error message:
Error 15223 The Quickbooks update did not complete successfully. Quickbooks is unable to verify the digital signature of a file that you are trying to download.
To make a long story short.....there is nothing wrong with your system if you have never had problems downloading payroll updates in the past. Quickbooks is aware of the problem and is estimating a resolution in 24-72 hours.
In the meantime, for Indiana employers, PLEASE NOTE.....The base rate for Indiana unemployment which increased to $9500.00 as of 1/1/2011 and was correct in prior updates HAS NOW REVERTED BACK TO $7000.00. Once again, Quickbooks is aware of this too.
I wonder why Quickbooks can send me umpteen e-mails trying to get me to upgrade or buy a new product but can't bother to send me an e-mail letting me know the problem is on THEIR END when an update is not completing normally.
Sorry....off my soapbox for now.
