taxpayer came in last week - assured us he and spouse were NOT divorced in 2010 - she came in today and said yes we were divorced on Dec 10th? What? you dont know if/when you were divorced? Really?

Ask to see the divorce decree. Many people do not know the exact date they were divorced since it typically takes a few months after filing for divorce for it to actually become final. My sister-in-law didn't figure out she was officially divorced until six months after the fact.Michael -
