Sounds like he will find out you are less expensive than others around if they told you they would charge more than you did...Sometimes the clergy don't want to pay....they are used to things being given to them.

Well, I asked accountants that I knew understood the return. He'll find somebody that doesn't know what's involved who will do it for $125. And, they will use my return as a guide. Oh, well.

I have noticed that some clergy don't like to pay, too. This one did not pay income tax on $32,000 of income when you count the double-dip for mortgage interest and property tax. Don't blame him one bit. It's like EIC for clergy. I don't think Joe Public or Jean Congregation knows this. If they did, I think the freebies would decline.
