    1040 Works and TaxWorks Pro

No they are not the same program, but close - 1040 Works just does ot have all of the "bells and whistles" that 1040 Pro has -

Someone mentioned a toggle for "Estimated Amounts" we have that in 1040 works. and then there are more items that my Rep stated - I just don't remember what they are.

I have been a TaxWorks Pro user since 2003 and I questionned the difference in the charges, as obviously I pay a lot more, but I do some complex business and fiduicuary returns as well as 1040 Individual, which is all inclusive in my Software Package.

Customer service for the most part for me has scored a 90% or above and I love the extended hours during tax filing season. I even called them today (Saturday). The efile system works almost at 99% and good turn around time with ACKS I have only had a couple of issues and those were rectified very quickly. TaxWorks also has a great knowledge base to sign into for problem solving issues.

I believe you can purchase direct through TaxWorks either program and not go through TRX.

TRX was the company that I had such a problem with last year. But this year they gave me the software from Red Gear which I guess is 1040 works. I haven't downloaded it yet. But I guess on the recommendation of you on the board I think I will download it and try it out on the returns I am doing. I'll see how it compares to TaxslayerPro.

If they do webinars to teach you how to use the program and things you need to know would be great. I haven't been able to go to Augusta for several years for their seminar and they don't provide any other type of instruction. So I have felt out of the loop. In fact I emailed the person that is my account representative and he never answered me. Hmmmmm!
