I've got a piece of paper hanging on my desk that says that exact thing

So far I have got all the extensions finished from those that brought their information. I have three that have never called. I did an extension for them in April but they never brought their information by.

I had to get a couple of people moving by telling them about the late filing penalty. They got what I needed quickly. I also reminded them no money... no return. I am still amazed when people come by and do not expect to pay.

        finished

I have finished. 3 of the ones I had to finish were schedule C's. but they are done now. one is my neighbor's son who is in grad school. He has a refund so not a big deal.

One person has not called me back. I just left a message on her cell phone. I said, " I didn't mean to bug her but tomorrow is the deadline to file your taxes. If you did it yourself or had someone else do it, that is fine. I just don't want you to get penalized because you didn't file on time."

We will see what happens? I could get it done if she called. She just has w-2 wages, but I do have some plans tomorrow.......so maybe I'll be working and maybe I won't.

        I love your ideas.....

          Finished here as well.
Just completed my own return - now I have to remember to get my wife to sign it tonight (so I won't have to chase her down at work on Friday).

I like your signs, but I have to say I like mine better:

If you loan someone $20 and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I have an Al Capone bobblehead...

This may not be totally relevant to this discussion but:

I have an Al Capone bobblehead on my desk I bought this summer after taking a tour of Alcatraz, with a little sign saying "he went to prison for income tax evasion".

Anyone who sees little Al probably thinks twice about asking me to add things to their return if they don't have complete records.
