Does a mobile on a rented lot qualify for the first time home buyer credit? For purchase purposes a mobile on a rented lot does not disqualify for first time financing, so I am thinking that a mobile on a rented lot is not considered a home for purposes of thee credit.

I would say mobile home would qualify and depending on your state regulations, the mobile home should be on the personal property tax rolls rather than any DMV licensing tax rolls.
