Does anyone know if a special notation or attachment is required to carry a 2008 NOL back more than 2 years? Thanks!

See NOL Carryback/Carryforward TTB 8-2 and 8-7 (Small business) Also Pub 536

You have to make an election to NOT carryback on the NOL year return and it appears in some cases an election to waive/change a carryback period such as in a farm loss.
