Do You Use IRS Website to check Stimulus payment?

I have my secretary access the website and print the rebate amount BEFORE the client come in.

Most have no recollection of what they received and some have said they didn't receive anything. The website has proved them wrong.

I do add a token fee of $2 to print this as it takes less than 1 minute.

I wish, my answering machine is my secretary!

I have now asked 107 clients how much they received. About 1/3 had no idea, 1/3 wre wrong, and 1/3 were right. Sorry, I check them all. $10 per.

Some clients won't remember. And I'm partly to blame since I forgot to check it before
finishing and getting signatures on form 8279. (8279? what IS that form for efiling? lol)

anyway, had I even looked at AGI on last year's records, I could have/ would have divined
the truth. But no; I simply took her word that they hadn't gotten the 1500$ stimulus
payment. Never again.

A compadre out in Texas, also on this board, says he has his wife (office help) go online
and print out results in advance of client appointment. I will also look at things more closely from now on, however I won't waste the ink printing it out! (grin: you know who you are!)
