    1099 LLC Filing As Corp

Hi, Does an LLC that has elected to file as a corporation still get a 1099?

My answer was formulated just yesterday when a client sent me a copy of the W9
furnished them by such an organization .

Since IRS doesnt' really recognize an LLC as separate entity, my reasoning is that the
    default organization form controls.

      W9

That's what my client received. A W9 with corporation checked. I'm thinking they do not need a 1099.

      -----------

Just checked with the IRS. If the W9 is checked Corporation, they don't need a 1099 (unless they meet one of the exceptions for corporations i.e. attorneys, etc.)

Yes. I like to get those ID numbers, names and dates and keep it with the tax return file. It could come in handy.
