Already as Designed
I am not getting repeated requests to enter the password, so I guess the password, once entered, DOES in fact attach itself to the cookie.
And the cookie cleaves to only its resident computer. If entering on multiple computers, or as a guest on someone else's computer, the password has to be entered at least once.
The program is apparently already working as I had suggested. Thanks for your response.
