    Bailout Bill

www.nytimes.com has a draft of the new bailout bill. It is short and vague.

    Bailout

I've been listening to Fox all morning and all I'm hearing from the key players (besides the occasional choking and cough) is himming and hawing! What is it they don't want us to know??

A little commentary: We'd better start to micro-manage Congress and let them know just how unhappy we all are with everything they do or we'll be so far up the "creek" we'll never get back. How this can be done, I don't know.

      New site

The site's not up, yet, but the bill, as it stands now, will be here:

      financialservices.house.gov

        Bailout Package is now online

It is now online at financialservices.house.gov, however, the site is on overload so hard to access.

            this thing

actually makes for riveting reading. Only issue I see so far is that the fox is guarding the hen house - all the oversight here appears to be made of up of various executive branch appointees, with the exception of the chairman of the fed.
"Congress has spoken to this issue through its audible silence."
Anyone ever notice they beat the daylights out of the definition of a child, but they don't spend much time at all defining "parent"?

It was reported on TV a few minutes ago that the bailout bill was voted DOWN
              by Congress. Good.

                Me?

I'm investing in pencils. They have a much better shelf life than apples.
