    Problem Client?

Would this be a real opportunity to get a client like this or do we work hard on this and finally get stiffed?

      This is heresay

      And may therefore be in-admissable.

An IRS appeals officer told me that the IRS cannot compel the filing of a return past 10 years.

I was struggling to get very old returns filed to flip the SFR's. He told me I should request a collection due process hearing and argue that the $10k in refunds they had taken from my client since he started filing again was sufficient and that I should introduce evidence that instead of MFS with no dependents as shown on the SFR's he was HOH with up to 4 dependents.

Instead I filed the returns, flipped the SFR's and he got a huge refund from the 3 current years from which the IRS had taken his refunds.
In other words, a democratic government is the only one in which those who vote for a tax can escape the obligation to pay it.
