    cafeteria plan and medicare part b reimbursement

    Employer would like to reimburse employee for his medicare part b premium. Can this reimbursement be treated as a pre-tax benefit as part of the cafeteria plan? Thanks!

    No. Under Section 125 the benefit must be offered by the employer to be part of the treatment under this section.
