    S Corp. stock valuation at date of death

    I know the basis of stock will increase to fair market value at death. Does this increase the value of assets inside the corporation? Where can I find an IRC section on this?

    The common

    stock in the hands of who inherited gets increased to FMV at the date of death. Nothing happens on the corporate books. 754 stepups are a partnership election onley.
