    Wrong zip on e-file!

Uhhh.. I just e-filed a return (now accepted) and used the wrong zip code for the taxpayer, who requested a paper check refund. What are my options to fix this??

    Wrong Zip

If the post office doesn't fix it, you will have to file a change of address with IRS.

Try the e-file coordinator for the IRS,,,sometime that can be corrected.

amend it or it will be in file 13 till the taxpayer will call IRS to mail it. It happened to me.
      It wasn't fun either!!!

        Retired Mail Ryder

As a retired mail ryder do nothing the po will send it to the zip listed then it will be rerouted back to the proper zip. If the zip that u put on the file is does not exist it will be caught and routed to the proper zip. If you do anything that will screw up the po some more.
