Good day,
ding, ding, we have another winner.
Now I am in the process of reconstructing W-2s for TY 2006 for a client -- it seems the company never got around to submitting them to the IRS/SSA [do not ask, you do not want to go there].
Their record-keeping system seems to be:
(a) throw every single piece of paper in the universe into one big basket;
(b) pull pin and throw hand grenade into basket;
(c) come back when convenient and pick over what's left.
Because of their record-keeping system, it is horrible to try and reconstruct the W-2s. But, my question is -- when submitting data to IRS/SSA is an address required on a W2? I cannot think what purpose it would serve. If no address is required, it would speed things up tremendously for me.
Where do these people come from?
