    For those of you who are ERO's: If your Ack file includes a DI, do you generally notify the client (and provide offset phone#?) Question only applies to your non-bank product clients. Just wondering how you handle this, and any thoughts either way.

    Yes, I give them a call so they don't spend that refund before it arrives. Most were already expecting it and knew it would be offset.

      Yes, I notify my clients right away. I am also learning to ask for offset debt but sometimes I forget. This post was a good reminder since I only have a few clients with offset debt.

        I call, if unable to make contact I mail them the information on how to contact the FMS people or the IRS depending on the indicator.
