    Any Charitable Remainder Trust experts out there?

    In 2007 the trust began receiving annuity payments.

    Unfortunately, The Hartford withheld federal and state taxes.

    We can't figure out how to get those taxes back. No 1041 is filed anymore since the IRS changed things and now require only a Form 5227.

    Looks like you will have to file a 1041.
