    Economic Stimulus Payment for 2009

    My fiancee and I were both claimed as dependents on our parents 2007 returns making us ineligible for the stimulus payment based on our 2007 return. However, we will be married later this year and would be eligible on our 2008 return. Based on what I have read, it sounds like there will be a way for us to deduct that $1200 from our 2008 tax liability and thus get a bigger refund in 2009.

    Am I correct on this? All answers are appreciated!
