Stimulis Payment/Checking Account Closed

I just had a customer call who had her Federal refund direct deposited into her checking account,but has since closed this account.Does anyone know how the IRS will handle this concerning her Stimulis payment? Thanks so much for your help!

They will issue a paper check when the DD does not go through.

Kirk, when do we tax preparers draw the line...

If a taxpayer is that blank blank to close their checking acct down, I have a saying for that taxpayer and millions others like that taxpayer:
