Office in Home

Client is outside sales. Company office is 65 miles from his home. He conducts administration tasks from home office. An office is available at company's location should he choose to do the work there. The bulk of his territory does not include the company's location.

Doesn't look good, Larry. Was working from home a condition of his employment? Does he have anything in writing from the employer? Sounds like it's just for the employee's convenience...

I'm afraid it is for employee's convenience. I originally told him no can do. And I was finishing up the return and wondered if anyone out there might say they found something in the code that refers to distance from home to office which might allow the OIH.
