    1099 US interest when

    Client is residence of Canada

Has 1099-INT for $1,000 in US. No other income. MFJ

Does he require to report all income from Canada when filing US return?

    Thanks!

uncle samuel wants to get his "fair share" [ROFLOL] from your WORLDWIDE income. so, you report everything and then start "chalking up" the various tax credits.

only one other country in the world requires "worldwide income reporting" on their tax return -- Libya [it's nice to know that GWB and Mu'ammar Al-Qadafhi have something in common].
Just because I look dumb does not mean I am not.
