    Schedule G typo

On my IRS calendar it tells what is due on April 15th. One of the things is reminding taxpayers with household employees to file their Schedule G (instead of H). I called the IRS and asked them what is a Schedule G? Somethink new? Wicked I know. The nice outsourced lady said she never heard of it and had no way of alerting anyone to the typo.

    It's a typo.

Here's the HTML version of the tax calendar:

It refers to Schedule H for household employees.

Schedule G isn't something new. It's something old. Prior to the massive amendments to the IRC that took effect in 1986, Schedule G was Income Averaging. For taxpayers that weren't farmers.

Back then, I was in high school. Or I should have been, anyway... I'm not sure where I actually was...

      Schedule G

Brings back good and bad memories.

Good was when you could show your client how you magically saved them thousands of dollars.

Bad was trying to get the prior 4 years tax returns in order to do the computations.
