    I got one of those this year when "ole Charley" died. Nice old gentleman, with the last 3 years returns, on IRS forms filled out by hand, and with two rental properties showing depreciation, I started looking for a depreciation schedule. Of course, there was none. So I ventured, "when did you buy these properties?" Answer, 1980. OMG.

    PS: Ole Charley did the original returns back then and ever since.

      OMG CHEAP Charlie

      Oh yikes .... while digging further into the papers of these new clients ... I found OLE CHARLIE's fee for preparing last years federal and state tax returns.

      Ready for this ???????

      $ 20

      yep ... only $ 20 ... LOL My federal fee is now at $ 156 and I'm not done and still have the state to prepare. (I charge by the form and not by the hour) {Unless there is some extensive extra work that needs done} This will be a nightmare handing them the bill

      I'll just bet there are plenty more of you that has had or will have an *Ole Charlie* *LOL*

        Now that's funny, how are you going to break it to them?
