    Mortgage interest paid on Canadian cabin

    I have a US citizen client who purchased a cabin in Canada and is paying the Canadian owner on a contract for deed. Is the mortgage interest deductible on my clients US tax return. After researching all the pubs nothing talks about a mortgage on a cabin in another country.
