Client sold home in Maryland and moved to Washington.
They have listed all sorts of "tax stamps" in their income tax data and I am wondering if in Maryland these are tax deductible? I also see that Maryland has both sales tax and income tax and wonder if these would be added to the sales tax deduction which then may exceed their state income tax deduction?
Also, they got a refund for 2006 taxes but did not provide a 1099G - is a 1099G always issued if the income tax refund is taxable (when Sch A is filed).
Thanks.
