    Deceased taxpayer due refund

Can a 1040 be electronically filed if there is a refund due? She has an executor of her estate.

I couldn't find if I could electronically file the return and mail in his letter or if the return just has to be mailed in.

    Thanks.

    Deceased Taxpayer

    Linda,

I have filed two deceased taxpayer returns in the last few weeks. You have to file form 1310 and enter the personal representative/executor information. You can also even direct deposit the refunds.

Both have been accepted by my software and confirmations received.
