Anybody received an update on when the IRS will be accepting efile of returns with Katrina related info? Last I saw 2/1/06 was the earliest estimate, with 3/1 not being out of the question. This can have definate impact for preparers that offer refund anticipation loans or cater to clients who have always taken advantage of electronic filing.

No change, however have you considered doing the return and excluding those forms until the IRS gives the OK. Of course if the client is not in dire need of the refund they can wait a few more weeks.
