Form 4868

My software is not printing the 4868, only the payment voucher and states this is all that is required, yet I'm reading that the voucher needs to be sent along with the 4868. Is this something new this year, only the voucher?

Or, am I having a software issue?

My software (ProSeries) is sitll printing the F4868 in the conventional manner, Have not heard of this. May be a software issue?

Extension

Your software may be attempting to electronically file the extension.

E-file is available for Form 4868.

Better check fees and other variables before you try it.

Look for a field in your program that controls whether you are filing electronically. I'll bet it's defaulted to yes.

I just found out that if there is a zero balance due or refund, the 4868 will print. If there is a balance due after all the calculations, only the new voucher will print.

Also, my default for sending the form electronically is not turned on. I did check that. It's on the same input page, so easy to check.
