New customer. Submitted their return efile. Got a reject based on that I did not enter 2006 Adj Gross Income to do the PIN. So I called the customer back and she called back with the Adj.
This time I got a reject code:
IRS Reject code: 515
Reject code description: Primary SSN (SEQ 0010) was used as a Primary SSN more than once.
CORRECTION SUGGESTION:
The taxpayer's Social Security Number listed in this return has already been used on a tax return. If you believe this to be in error, print and mail the tax return.
Taxwise said I would have to call the Practioner Hotline to get it resolved. That they must of been to someone else to file their return. I don't really see how because all this happened in two days. The only other thing I can think of is that the customer said she had tried to file it herself. She said something about the phone but that she could not do it that way anymore. Can you still file it over the phone?
This is just a W-2 only return. I am thinking about just printing out the return and having her mail it in. I am not sure what she did.
