    Form 720

    Why would a new corporation in their EIN letter be told that they need to file a Form 720 "Quarterly Federal Excise Tax Return"? (This is a letter for the 1120 before they have processed the 1120S election.)

      Probably due to what they stated as their business on line 17 of the SS-4.

          Thanks. I haven't seen the their form, but It wouldn't have anything to do with paint would it? Service business painting.
