ProSeries Office In Home

When I enter home mortgage interest on the office in home worksheet, it is not carrying the personal portion over to Schedule A.

Has anyone else noticed that yet this year? It always has worked in prior years.

I use ProSeries and have done several sched C with home office on the 8829 and everything has worked fine. Mort interest, taxes all show up on sched A with no problems.

I found the problem.

Last year I had an itemized list of mortgage interest set up for line 10 of Form 8829. This year, the itemized schedule appeared again, like it did last year, so I entered the data on it. But it won’t carry over to the Schedule A when numbers are entered on line 10 of Form 8829, unless you enter the data into the Interest and Taxes Smart Worksheet, which then carries the number to line 10 of Form 8829 and Schedule A. You didn’t have to do that last year.
