A client of mine received a 1099-MISC this year for sales spiffs. He is the GM of a new car dealership and received sales incentives direclty from the manufacturer. Where does this income get reported? Does it have to be on a Schedule C? If there is another place to show this income I would appreciate the help as it will save the client SE tax. Thanks.
